Durban Lubricants is a business in the petroleum industry that is an authorised lubricants and grease distributor for Shell in South Africa. We carry a range of Automotive, Industrial and Marine lubricants and greases.

Use of this website and the services provided via it www.durbanlubes.co.za are conditional upon you accepting the following terms and conditions. Unless otherwise specified, your acceptance of this User Agreement shall be indicated by your use of and/or registration with www.durbanlubes.co.za and is provided by Durban Lubricants ,35 Palmgate Crescent Southgate Business Park Umbogintwini ,Durban, South Africa ,4126. These terms and conditions and our Privacy Policy, (together the “User Agreement”) form our entire agreement with you in respect of non-chargeable use of www.durbanlubes.co.za) and supersede any prior agreement or arrangement with you in respect of www.durbanlubes.co.za .

If a company name is inserted in your registration request, then the User Agreement shall be between us and that company and accordingly unless the context otherwise requires, references to “you” and “your” in this User Agreement shall also be to that company.

The purchase of [goods/services] from us is subject to our Terms and Conditions of Purchase. If there are any updates to this User Agreement or to the Terms and Conditions of Purchase, we will bring this to your attention on the home page of www.durbanlubes.co.za .

Save as provided below, we disclaim all and will not be liable in contract, tort (including, without limitation, negligence) or otherwise arising in connection with this User Agreement or www.durbanlubes.co.za for: (i) consequential, indirect or special loss or damage; or (ii) any loss of goodwill or reputation; or (iii) any economic losses (including loss of revenues, profits, contracts, business or anticipated savings), in each case, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage and howsoever incurred.

Our maximum liability to you in contract, tort (including, without limitation, negligence) or otherwise arising in connection with this User Agreement or www.durbanlubes.co.za shall be limited. Notwithstanding any other provision of this User Agreement, we will be liable to you without limit for any death or personal injury caused by our negligence and to the extent that liability arises and for liability arising from statements made fraudulently by us.

Either of us may terminate this User Agreement at any time. You may not transfer any of your rights or delegate any of your obligations under this User Agreement without our prior written consent. If we fail to enforce any provision of this User Agreement, that failure will not preclude us from enforcing either that provision (or any similar provision) on a later occasion. Nothing in this User Agreement shall confer on any third party any benefit or the right to enforce any term of the User Agreement. This User Agreement is governed by South African law and any dispute connected with this agreement is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts. Nothing in this User Agreement affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

DURBAN LUBRICANTS DELIVERY POLICY

Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 72 hours.
All orders are shipped AFTER 72 hours FROM RECEIPT OF PAYMENT.
Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm. (Subject to stock availability) and this will be applicable to all
orders within KwaZulu Natal province.

We will at times use third party couriers or other transport companies to deliver goods to you and as such will be obliged to work with their turnaround times.

The rate charged for the shipping of your orders outside of KwaZulu Natal is based on the volumetric weight of your products, and your location. Should it be necessary to first confirm a shipping rate for your order, if you are located outside of KwaZulu Natal, you are advised to contact Durban Lubricants on 0319142929 prior to finalising and paying for your order or email alpha@saol.com

If an item goes on back order, we will ship you the part of your order that is in stock. When the item becomes available, we will ship you the rest of your order. You will be charged any additional shipping and handling for the second shipment.

Export restriction
The offering on this website online shop is available to South African clients only.

Return, Refunds and Cancellation policy

The provision of goods and services by Durban Lubricants is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Durban Lubricants will refund the client in full within 30 days.

Return Policy : The item or product that you purchased from us must be in its original container and still be sealed or unopened, and the packaging or container it you received it in must be in an undamaged condition to be returned, unless there is a manufacturer defect. Product that has been opened or partially used will not be accepted for return or exchange. You must return the item within 7 days of your purchase to avoid any return fees or charges. If the item is returned after 7 days return fees will apply. Please email pictures of the unopened product to alpha@saol.com to request a refund/return and we will respond to you on whether a return will be acknowledged and granted. Return of product is for your own account, please deliver your product to: Durban Lubricants 35 Palmgate Crescent, Southgate Business Park, Umbogintwini, Durban, South Africa, 4126 Include with your returned product a signed letter stating the reason for your return and the original receipt.

Return Fee: All items are subject to a 12% administration fee; this will be deducted from your refund should your return be accepted and authorised. We do not refund the original shipping and handling fees that you paid on the order.
Exchanges: If you incorrectly ordered a product and it was delivered as per the order you may exchange it for a different product provided all the requirements mentioned above can be met. Please mail pictures of the product to alpha@saol.com
You will still be subject to a restocking fee of 6% and will again be billed for the second shipping cost of the product to you.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 12 % administration fee. Orders can be cancelled or amended prior to being physically dispatched this means before leaving our premises. Failing which, if good are fully paid for the full delivery service will be completed.

Customer and Website Privacy Policy

Durban Lubricants shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). This policy covers how we use your personal information.

We only collect information that we need that is related to your order. This includes your: Billing Address, Shipping Address, Email Address. In addition. We also collect information on your IP address, browser type, and Refer URL data. We use this data to prevent hacking attempts, help us know what web browsers people are using, and find out where our visitors are coming from so that we can improve our marketing.

Information is collected from you when you register with us, or when you contribute to or use some of the features on the site. In addition, we may collect your IP address and use cookies unless you configure your web browser not to accept them.

We will always let you have a copy of personal information we have about you, should you request it, and you may correct it if you wish. Your information is only used to fill your order. We do not sell or redistribute your information to ANYONE. Only your order data billing, shipping, and order contents data is stored on our server. This information is encrypted using a Secure Sockets Layer before it is transmitted over a web server. We do not store your Credit Card data.

Cookies are small files that reside on your computer and allow us to recognize you on your next visit or store your shopping cart contents. We use them only to track this information.

Transaction Currency and Merchant Outlet country: All transactions on this website and our online shop are conducted in South Africa Rand’s (ZAR) and subject to the provisions of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) and the South Africa Revenue Service (SARS). The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa.

Payment options accepted

Payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard. We also accept EFT’s / Bank Transfers and International Funds Transfers for orders that don’t lend themselves to credit card purchasing due to the size of the transaction and/ or where the order is from cross border or international customers. If your payment is an EFT’s / Bank Transfer or International Funds Transfers the funds will have to reflect in our account before despatch of any product will take place.

Credit Card Charges: Your credit card will be charged when you place your order. If we are not able to fulfil your order for any reason your credit card will be refunded

Card acquiring and security

Card transactions will be acquired for Durban Lubricants via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website for Durban Lubricants. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by Durban Lubricants separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.

Responsibility

Durban Lubricants takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.

Variation

Durban Lubricants may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
